Montessori Resources

Kathryn Louis has several wonderful articles about teaching young children. This one is geared towards teaching children to write using Montessori methods and supplies. She recommends you start at about age 3 with metal insets, then move on to sandpaper letters, and then the moveable alphabet. She has more detail and much more at her website.

Copy Books

My family has been on the look out for nice copy books. I want something that they can write in, but that also has a place for a picture drawing. That way, they can notebook in it related to a specific subject, like history or science and have another one for copywork. Here is one that is expensive, but the right idea.
