School Report Nov. 3-7

• Field Trip: Space Mission Odyssey Simulation.
• Gov/Election Unit: Learned about the legislative branch and elections. Election day colored map of McCain/Obama electoral votes.
• AO History: (Y1) read about Julius Caesar coming to Britain and about Regulus; (Y2) Charlemagne, started The Little Duke; (Y3) Our Island Story 62-71, TCCO ch. 6.
• Miles (Preschool): Letter "p" activities.
• Amanda (1st grade): phonics readers.
• Hannah's Reading (3rd grade): The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (pg. 114), Five Little peppers (52). Hannah says her favorite part of school this week was assigned reading, she really likes her books!
• Emily's Reading (4th/5th grade): reading Water Babies (197), Anne of Green Gables (finished), Linnets and Valerians, English Fairy Tales (20), Call of the Wild (130). Emily's favorite parts of school this week was Space Camp and listening to Children of the New Forest.
• Read aloud: The Golden Goblet (history) finished, Charlotte's Web (Amanda) finished, Misty of Chincoteague (Hannah), Children of the New Forest (Emily).
• Gospel Study: Started chapter 10 of Preach My Gospel; Book of Mormon Helaman 4-6.
