Homeschool Articles

I came across a couple of articles for homeschooling that had some excellent points to ponder. Here they are for you to enjoy too. We are eclectic homeschoolers with a strong Charlotte Mason emphasis, but I appreciate the good found in the many other homeschool philosophies. These two articles are by Donna Goff who I recently met at a Homeschool Support Meeting. Enjoy!

Thanks for linking to me. As a result it linked me to you and I have been exploring and learning!

I love Charlotte Mason! Ok, I do not agree with everything she says as witnessed by my debate in the margins of her first book. She has wonderful intuition about children. I want to see Charlotte Mason comeback within the LDS homeschool movement. The are rich treasures to find there.

I have a yahoo group called momculture, which is an LDS CM group that was started in 2000. It has been slow on discussion, as of late, but it has been seeing renewed interest through recent growth.

I just visited LDSMomEd which led me to the mother education course listed in CM Parent Review.
* Divinity
* Physiology and Health
* Mental and Moral Science and Education.
* Nature Lore and the Elements of Science

I have found that I have naturally tended towards these areas and others.

There is so much that was handed down then that has not been handed down as of late that I have expanded the list for women I work with.
